Civil Disobedience Is A Method Of Nonviolent Rebellion

I am pretty safe to assume that everyone can acquiescently admit that this is a topic is something everyone both agrees and disagrees with; however, it’s something that depends on the situation can be a pro or con. Still, I believe that it’s a pro situation if it’s dealt with correctly. Doing what’s right. Doing the just thing. That’s what everyone is taught to believe and follow by. Isn’t it more humane to want to solve things rationally? Why not just try to be more human rather than brutes? Civil Disobedience is a method of nonviolent rebellion that causes people to look at what’s taking place around them, and realize that there is no equality around them. Seeing that great actions have been taken place with success, it’s fair†¦show more content†¦Now, civil disobedience isn’t a common thing that occurs anymore, and people then ask the question â€Å"what is a civil disobedience action?† Well, a recent e xample of a modern day civil disobedience example is the transgender bill that was in the legislature not too long ago. This caused a protest that didn’t become violent with the Transgenders in South Dakota. The protest started when this bill was made public, but still passed for a brief amount of time before the governor came to realize its unjust qualities. Many transgender students in South Dakota gave the governor complimentary remarks when he denied this bill, and exclaimed that if this topic were to rise again they’d just fight back again. This was in fact a modern form of civil disobedience, and a connection of this situation to you as a person to grasp a real understanding of this topic. â€Å"You must be the change you wish to see in the world.† Mohandas Gandhi. Gandhi, a man thought of as a legend, has humanity looking back on his work in history and has influenced and changed cultures around the world. An act that Gandhi has made an impact on the world with was his famous Salt March in the 1930s. In order to win India its freedom from the British control Gandhi broke the law that no one was allowed to make salt at the sea’s shore. Gandhi’s method of philosophy was called Utilitarianism.
